I have created set up for my vb appliction(vb6 and oracle 8i) thru package and deployment wizard.

While installing the setup in win 95(with no oracle client). i am getting problem in connection with oracle.

is it possible without oracle client can i install the application(i.e setup.exe)

thro me some light on this issue, i am in dark.

Sorry, you have to install oracle client.

Or... you can use JDBC.

Hi Akbar
U dont really require to install oracle client if you got oledb.dll file version right. First you check if your vb application can connect to oracle by passing simple query u can use oracle driver for odbc or oledb if your pc is on the net having oracle server connection will get established .
